What is the Kakobuy purchase (proxy buying) service?
Kakobuy's purchase service buys products on your behalf from China's major shopping platforms — Taobao, Tmall, JD.com and 1688 — receives them at its warehouse, runs a basic quality check, and lets you ship everything home through the international line of your choice.
Step by step
- Find your item. Paste a product link or search by keyword. For 1688 (wholesale) listings, watch the minimum order quantity, seller rating, return policy and stock confirmation.
- Submit the order & pay. Pay the product price plus any China domestic shipping. If the seller's real price, stock or shipping changes, Kakobuy may ask you to pay a shortfall or report an out-of-stock.
- Warehouse receiving & QC. When the seller ships to the Kakobuy warehouse, staff check appearance, model, style and size. Electronics, sealed packages and authenticity or functionality are not part of the standard check.
- Review QC photos & add services. Once your item is shelved you can view QC/warehouse photos and optionally buy extras such as personalized photos, priority purchasing, vacuum packing or reinforced packaging.
- Ship internationally. Select the items to send, fill in your address, choose a line, declare as required, then pay international shipping.
Common questions
Can I cancel an order or get a refund?
If the order is Paid, contact support to cancel. If it is Processing and the merchant hasn't shipped yet, it can be cancelled and refunded to your balance. After the merchant ships, it usually cannot be cancelled.
Why am I asked to pay a shortfall?
The listed price is the seller's suggested price and can change; actual domestic shipping may also differ. You will be asked to top up the difference before the order continues.
How long until my item reaches the warehouse?
Dispatch time depends on the seller's location. From nearby regions it can take around one working day; from farther provinces roughly three working days or more.
