Light-colored and thin materials can arrive more sheer than the listing suggests, so if a piece looks borderline, ask the agent about the fabric hand or whether a lining is included. For knitwear, check the knit density and that the ribbing holds its shape.

Prints and pattern alignment matter on women's pieces too: on a patterned dress or blouse, the print should line up across seams and sit straight, and color should be judged from the QC set rather than the saturated listing image. And because many pieces are cotton or cotton blends, keep shrinkage in mind, so if the fit is already close, account for the first wash.
