Women's on Kakobuy: Size by Measurement, Inspect by Fabric and Fit
For women's pieces the direct advice is to ignore the size letter and buy by the centimeter, because Asian sizing runs small and inconsistent across styles. Measure a garment you already own and love, then compare bust, waist, hip, and length against the specific listing's chart before ordering. Once Kakobuy's QC photos arrive, this category rewards attention to fabric and finish since the details are often finer than menswear.
Sizing deserves the most care here:
Read the chart, not the tag. A "M" on one dress can be smaller than an "S" on another. The measurement chart is the only reliable guide.
Watch the cut. Fitted and bodycon styles have far less tolerance than oversized ones, so a couple of centimeters matters more. When a piece is meant to be tailored, err toward your measured size rather than sizing down.
Stretch and drape. Fabrics with stretch will move with wear; structured fabrics won't forgive a tight fit.
In the QC photos, check the things that separate a well-made piece from a rushed one. Look at seam finishing and whether hems are clean rather than fraying, since lighter women's fabrics show poor finishing quickly. Check that any lining is present and sits flat, that zippers (especially concealed side and back zips on dresses) run smoothly and lie invisible, and that delicate closures like hooks and buttons are secure.
Fabric weight and opacity are worth confirming. Light-colored and thin materials can arrive more sheer than the listing suggests, so if a piece looks borderline, ask the agent about the fabric hand or whether a lining is included. For knitwear, check the knit density and that the ribbing holds its shape.
Prints and pattern alignment matter on women's pieces too: on a patterned dress or blouse, the print should line up across seams and sit straight, and color should be judged from the QC set rather than the saturated listing image. And because many pieces are cotton or cotton blends, keep shrinkage in mind, so if the fit is already close, account for the first wash.
Women's garments are generally light and fold small, which makes them ideal for consolidation. Use Kakobuy's long free storage to gather several pieces, check each QC set carefully without rushing, and ship them together in one box so the shipping cost is shared across the whole order rather than paid per item.
