T-Shirts on Kakobuy: Cheap to Order, Worth Inspecting Anyway

T-shirts are the lowest-stakes thing you'll order through Kakobuy, but that's exactly why they're worth a quick, disciplined QC check: the defects are small and easy to wave through. The three that matter most are print quality, fit versus the measurement chart, and fabric weight.

Start with the print, since a graphic tee lives or dies on it. In the QC photos, look for:

• Placement and straightness. The print should sit level and centered where the reference shows it. A tee is flat, so a crooked print has nowhere to hide.
• Print quality. Check for cracking, fading, or a heavy plastic feel on screen-printed graphics. Fine text and small logos are where cheap printing shows first.
• Color accuracy. Both the shirt color and the ink. Screen photos push saturation, so treat the QC set as the truer reference.

Fit is the other thing people get wrong. Tee sizing varies wildly between styles, from slim boxy Japanese cuts to oversized streetwear blanks, so never assume your usual size. Pull the listing's measurement chart and compare pit-to-pit and length against a shirt you already own and like.

Fabric weight is easy to overlook on a tee and easy to feel once it arrives. A heavyweight cotton blank holds its shape; a thin one goes see-through and clingy. If the listing markets the weight, it's fair to ask the agent to confirm. And because tees are usually high-cotton, factor in shrinkage: if the fit is already snug, expect it to tighten after the first wash and consider sizing up.

Also check the collar and stitching. A stretched or wavy collar is the fastest way a tee looks cheap, and the hem and sleeve stitching should be even with no skipped runs.

Because a single tee is light and rarely worth its own shipping, this is a category built for Kakobuy's free storage. Order a few, let them sit in the warehouse, and consolidate them into a larger order with heavier pieces so the shipping cost is spread across the whole box rather than paid on one shirt. Buying two or three colors of a blank you like and holding them for one shipment is usually the most sensible play.
